Troubleshooting
“Saved password was rejected”
Blue Iris refused the login. Check the user and password in Blue Iris (Settings → Users), then tap Sign in on the banner and enter them again. Caesa tries a refused password once more at most, then waits for you, so it can’t trigger Blue Iris’s automatic ban.
Notifications don’t arrive
- Settings → Notifications: is Alert notifications on, and does it say Caesa Bridge connected?
- If it says the Bridge wasn’t found, open
https://your-blue-iris-address/caesa/helloin a browser. See Reverse proxy. - Check the filters: types, minimum confidence, cameras and quiet hours. Blue Iris’s own alert has to be AI-confirmed for most types.
- If they stop after a while, your phone may be putting Caesa to sleep: see Keeping them arriving.
Video is slow or jerky
- At home, set your home network address.
- If scrubbing through clips lags on your phone, Settings → Instant playback → Lighter scrubbing.
- Cameras with a long keyframe interval (10 s or more) are slow to start and seek. Blue Iris’s camera settings, or the camera’s own encoder settings, can usually lower it to one or two seconds.
Telling us about a problem
Settings → About & help → Share diagnostics creates a report: your phone’s video decoders, timings and recent events. It contains no passwords, tokens or addresses. Send it to [email protected] with a few words about what happened.
